In this episode we get to see more of Phil’s father Frank Dunphy (Fred Willard). Can’t say the Cricket chirped cheeps cheerfully at that. He brings a dog that Clair fears she will be looking after, but Frank can’t part with the dog. How funny is that? Not. Over at Jay and Gloria’s Manny got scared witless after Jay took him unwittingly to a horror flick. Also not much to make me chuckle. Much more to my liking, Glamorous Cam gets to sub for the drummer in Dylan’s band. What a feast it is to see him behind the kit! Mitchell can’t believe his eyes or ears how good Cam is. A little too good, perhaps, as he shows off his chops in an endless drum solo. Now we know why he’s not in a band already. He hugs the spotlight – and who likes drum solos anyway? If it wasn’t for Cam I would have given up on this show altogether...
This one wasn't too good save for Cam's drumming scenes. He held the sticks in the wrong hands lol. I would so want to be friends with Cam if he were to exist in real life.
